چکیده
Abstract Construction, demolition, and renovation activities generate a significant amount of waste, posing serious environmental risks. The scarcity recycling facilities makes it difficult to implement the new legislation, which calls for producing recycled aggregates. Moreover, lack studies on feasibility construction demolition waste in regions with plentiful natural resources aggregates is contributing factor this scarcity. Therefore, paper establishing (CDW) plant. A case study approach compares CDW process against traditional quarrying generating lifecycle assessment method used evaluating both scenarios. Contribution analysis performed infer factors influencing viability process. Thereafter, sensitivity conducted determine suitability proposed location facility. As revealed by single score, alternative has 23% more negative impact than quarrying. Nevertheless, there chance that could be environmentally advantageous. Findings indicated total travel distance 70 km between site recommended guarantee feasibility. transportation found most critical element CDW. findings help decision-makers affairs consider when constructing

Construction activity in Europe has increased substantially in the past decade. Likewise, there has also been a commensurate rise in the generation of construction and demolition waste (C&DW). This, together with the fact that in many European countries the rate of recycling and reuse of C&DW is still quite low has engendered a serious environmental problem and a motivation to develop strategie...
